Flowers and Smiles

My Violet makes me smile. I have noticed the same feeling I get when I am showing a home to clients free of clutter and will some fresh or silk flowers in some of the rooms. Flowers just help say "hello". Consider this when you are getting your home ready for sale.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said in an interview published on Monday the Fed would have to raise interest rates to double-digit levels in coming years to thwart inflation.

But double-digit rates, which have not been seen since the 1980s, would not be a long-term fixture, Greenspan said in an interview with USA Today conducted on Friday.

"Double digit is something that is likely to happen for a short period of time," he said, adding it was hard to predict when such a big rate increase would be needed.

The U.S. central bank meets on Tuesday and is widely expected to cut the benchmark federal funds rate by at least a quarter-percentage point to help the economy weather a housing downturn and credit crunch.

The holidays are upon us. This is a fun recipe to share: Try it with your next gathering:
1 box yellow cake mix

1 - 8oz package of cream cheese softened

Beat cake mix, butter and 1 egg together and press into a 9 X 13 inch buttered pan. Mix cream cheese 3 eggs and confection sugar together and pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 35 minutes.

I walked by this cracked patch of ground almost every day on my way to work. I post it as a reminder to us about the dry hot summer of 2007 in Tennessee.
Cindy

These bushes have been refreshing contrast to the dry summer we have had. Fortunately, this has been a wonderful 1st year as a licensed real estate agent. I have enjoyed working with all my clients and have tried to take a personal interest in serving every one to the best of my abilities. I certainly appreciate everyone who has assisted me along the way. Despite the national slump in home sales, we have remained relative strong locally this year.

My 1st post in my new realtor blog:

With the coming of fall and crowds that gather, I wanted to share a recipe I have used for 21 years with my family to help get us through the busy times. You can make it ahead and warm it up later. A little goes a long way. Just add salad, a slice of toased bread and a glass of sweet tea.

Mom's Lasagna Recipe

1 Onion Small
1 lb. Lasagna Noodles
4 & 1/2 lb. Hamburger Meat
3 - 6 oz. packages Mozzarella Cheese
1 32 oz. Ragu Spaghetti Sauce
1 egg
1/8 or 1/4 cup of milk

Cook Noodles until done. Fry hamburger meat and union until done. Cut mozzarella into 3 sections. Mix cottage cheese, egg & milk. Drain grease off the hamburger meat then put Ragu sauce in the hamburger meat and simmer 3-5 minutes.
Put small amount of cottage cheeze mix in the bottom of 9 X 12 pan. Then lay 3 noodles on the cottage cheese mix. Lay cut cheese 2 long way and 3 short ways to form the next layer. Add 3 noodles to form the next layer. Add a small amount of cottage cheese mix and layer a small amount of hamburger meat. Continue making layers until the pan is full and the top layer is hamburger meat. Bake 25 minutes on 360 degrees.

When you have had a chance to try it, tell me what you thought of this one. I would like for you to email me your recipes.
